The third year of study has begun. In addition to well-known courses, it brings some new impulses, including the subjects Interpretation Oratorio/Concert and Lied Duo .

Bayreuth Festival

As part of the Richard Wagner scholarship, Alexander Rampp was able to experience three performances at the Bayreuth Festival in August. He saw Tannhäuser, Siegfried and Parisfal. The days were complemented by a comprehensive scholarship program. It was a special experience to get to know the festival hall and experience these three operas.

Conclusion of the opera Dante - From Inferno To Paradise

After six extremely successful performances, the opera Dante - From Inferno to Paradise was performed for the last time at the Theater Hof on July 12th. The first opera by the Hollywood composer Patrick Cassidy was enthusiastically celebrated with standing ovations by the audience each time. It was also the last directing work of the outgoing artistic director Reinhardt Friese and the last performances of the conductor Ivo Hentschel at the Theater Hof. Great recognition goes to everyone involved. Also a big thank you for the wonderful opportunity to take part in this production.

Opera podium

As part of the opera scene studies at the Dresden University of Music, an opera podium takes place every semester. At the end of the academic year, Alexander Rampp presented the opening duets and the aria "Se vuol ballare" from the opera Le nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Module examination of the second year of study

For the module examination of the second year of study, Alexander Rampp sang the songs "O wüsst ich doch den Weg zurück" by Johannes Brahms and "Reiselied" by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy as well as the arias "Sorge infausta" from the opera Orlando by Georg Friedrich Händel and "Fünftausend Taler" from the opera Der Wildschütz by Albert Lortzing. In the module examination, the progress of the students is tested annually under performance conditions.

Premiere at the Theater Hof

Premiere fever with standing ovations at the Theater Hof. Alexander Rampp played the role of the Angel of Chastity in the opera Dante - From Inferno To Paradise, composed by Patrick Cassidy. The Irish composer Patrick Cassidy created one of the most beautiful and impressive pieces of music in film history with the piece "Vide Cor Meum" for the psychological thriller "Hannibal". Ivo Hentschel was at the conductor's desk. The opera represents the last directorial work of the artistic director Reinhardt Friese.

Scholarship concert of the Richard Wagner Association Munich

On June 2nd, Alexander Rampp performed as part of the scholarship concert of the Richard Wagner Association Munich in the Künstlerhaus am Lenbachplatz, Munich. He sang a duet for bass and baritone from the opera List und Liebe by Joseph Haydn as well as the duet "Il core vi dono" from Mozart's opera Cosi fan tutte . As a soloist, he presented Leporello's aria "Madamina, il catalogo è questo" from the opera Don Giovanni (WA Mozart) and Baculus' aria "Fünftausend Taler" from Lortzing's opera Der Wildschütz .

Dante - From Inferno to Paradise

Alexander Rampp was hired by the Hof Theater for the new production of DANTE - FROM INFERNO TO PARADISE. He will sing the role of the Angel of Chastity. It will be the last time that the artistic director Reinhardt Friese directs the production. The libretto was written by the new artistic director Lothar Krause together with the composer Patrick Cassidy. Patrick Cassidy works for Hans Zimmer. Ivo Hentschel will be conducting. The performances will take place in May and June.

As a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Munich, Alexander Rampp will perform on June 2nd at the Künstlerhaus am Lenbachplatz, Munich.
